Blog Quest- Interview with Ralph
Me- how was your time on the island?
Ralph- It was good in the beginning until Jack started his own tribe and he started killing people /
Me- Do you still think about Piggy?
Ralph-Yeah all the time.
Me-Do you have any contact with anyone from the island?
Ralph- Yeah I still talk to Sam N' Eric sometimes.
Ok that will be all.
Naval Officer On The Beach
This is the scene where the naval officer arrivews on the beach and the forest is on fire but none of the other boys have come out of the forest yet.
Piggy's death
In this scene Roger drops the big boulder on Piggy and he falls off the cliff i tothe water and dies.
Beast
The beast represents savagery with in all of us.
Pig's Head
The lord of the flies represents the savagery within us by using a real thing.
Signal Fire
The signal fire represents hope on the Island because with out it there is no way to get off the island. Ralph thinks the fire is very important but a lot of the other boys don't think that is very important.
Conch
The conch represents civilization and order in the story. In the middle of the story the conch no longer becomes important because savagery is taking over on the island.
Piggy
Piggy is very smart and represents the scientific endeavor in the story. Piggy often gets teased by Jack and the other hunters. Although Ralph is leader he gets a lot of advice from Piggy.
Simon
Simon is a very shy nice boy. He likes to be alone and often goes in to the forest by himself. He is always willing to help the littluns out with things like getting fruit that they cannot reach. Simon does not believe in the beast that is apparently on the island.
Jack
Jack Is the leader of the hunters. He thinks the most important thing is hunting and he loves to kill pigs. He is very jealous of Ralph being the leader on the Island and is always tryin to turn people against Ralph.
Ralph
Ralph is the leader of the group. He tries to be civilized even though everyone around him is acting savagely. Ralph is trying very hard to get rescued. He believes that keeping the signal fire going is the most important thing they can do.
